I'm seeing the exact same problem on one of my filesystems.

I noticed that both my filesystem and the one in the original report has the
exact same feature flags enabled, including *bigalloc* with a 1MiB cluster
size. Could that be the root cause?

Note that my system has no /etc/e2fsck.conf file, and that I have tested
e2fsck from e2fsprogs:amd64 1.42.9-3 and 1.42.9-2, e2fsck.static from e2fsck-
static:i386 1.42.9-3, and e2fsck.static from e2fsck-static:amd64 1.42.9-3,
1.42.9-1, and 1.42.8-1, all with the same result.

Jon Severinsson
