Package: partimage-server
Version: 0.6.4-14
Severity: normal

Hi,

to allow authentication to happen, partimaged tries to directly read
/etc/shadow, which of course fails because partimaged is not runnning
as root and partimag is not member of the shadow group.

When one tries to authenticate in that case, the client gives an error
message saying that the account name is not listed in partimagedusers,
which is misleading at its best.

I have solved the issue by adding the partimag user to the shadow
group, but am not sure whether this is the best way to solve the issue.

Greetings
Marc
