Hi, thanks to Sebastian Beyer for his report on #debian-boot, here are the details for the regression I've just tracked down: trying to select auto partitioning with encrypted LVM no longer works in the Debian Installer. I've reproduced the issue using this image (dated 2014-03-31 08:09): http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/weekly-builds/amd64/iso-cd/debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso and wasn't able to do so with Jessie Alpha 1: http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/jessie_di_alpha_1/amd64/iso-cd/debian-jessie-DI-a1-amd64-netinst.iso That was in kvm, using a single disk (qemu-img create…) in addition to said images as cdrom. Looking at the diff between relevant package lists in ../list-cd/, parted looked like a good candidate, so I've built (using debian-cd) a new netinst amd64 image, using deb/udeb built from parted 2.13-6, and couldn't reproduce the issue; I've then confirmed that by rebuilding an image using deb/udeb built from parted 2.13-7, and I was then able to reproduce the issue again. The syslog isn't very verbose, one can only see: | partman-lvm: Device /dev/mapper/sda_crypt not found (or ignored by filtering). Looking at /dev/mapper, there's only: - control - sda5_crypt Since using patched udebs can be a bit tricky, please let me know if I can help you with testing patches. Please keep debian-boot@ in the loop when replying, too. Mraw, KiBi. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
