this is about the very old Debian bug
#216007: libao2: libao driver fails to start on powerpc
I've tested in a powerpc system and I can't reproduce it. Is it fixed
for you in recent libao versions (0.8.6)?
I'll close this bug this bug report on two weeks, thanks.
