I must have missed something because 1.10.8 does seem to fix it as I haven't had a crash at all and I've been using it since 1.10.8 came out (about a full day now) and I've been actively trying to reproduce the crash without success.
I think I remember some time ago that Luis Rodrigo wanted to give up maintainership of liferea. So I replaced his name with mine. If that wasn't the right thing to do, let me know and I'll fix it. 1.10.8 is packaged and ready on the git repo.
