Could you please explain how to reproduce the problem?

On my sid amd64 system, `w3mman man` seems to work fine for me.

```
<html>
<head><title>man man</title></head>
<body>
<pre>
MAN(1)                        Manual pager utils                        MAN(1)
<b>NAME</b>
       man - an interface to the on-line reference manuals
<b>SYNOPSIS</b>
```
