You are right: with the command above, the Java applet works perfectly. Hence I believe the bug lies in the applet (should be more permissive with the kernel numbering) and not in the kernel. As far as I am concerned, the bug can be closed. Thank you. I will (try to) open a bug with the bank Gurvan PS.
