Package: debianutils Version: 2.15.1 Severity: normal I tried to build from source on sarge, and got the message (which was familiar from the failing 'passwd' package):
DEB_BUILD_ARCH_OS is not a supported variable name at /usr/bin/dpkg-architecture line 271. It seems to build nevertheless, but this variable seems to be introduced in later versions of build utils, I would guess dpkg-dev, since passwd [shadow suite] depended on that too.
