The python dependency is most likely automatically generated by dh_python2, so it's not a change made to playonlinux that caused this. The correct way of fixing this is to not install packages from testing/sid on wheezy, but to prepare a backport [1] of that package and ask for a sponsor on debian-backports and/or debian-mentors.
