There is a problem in your patch, at least according to the gpg manpage: RETURN VALUE
The program returns 0 if everything was fine, 1 if at least a
signature was bad, and other error codes for fatal errors.
I have the same problem, and obviously those errors are not fatal as gpg
continues to work fine, signing and verfying my emails... CC to the
gpg's maintainer.
