Package: pandoc Version: 1.9.4.2-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I don't know if this affects sid, but the dependency I suggest isn't currently set on pandoc 1.12.2.1-1. When attempting to add a YAML metadata block to a Markdown file to be converted to a PDF, I encountered the following error: pandoc: Error producing PDF from TeX source. ! LaTeX Error: File etoolbox.sty' not found. Type X to quit or <RETURN> to proceed, or enter new name. (Default extension: sty) Enter file name: ! Emergency stop. <read *> l.28 \def I first removed the block and PDF conversion was fine. When I added it back it failed. I created the following (super simple) markdown file to test it: --- author: me --- # Test That failed. After installing the etoolbox package everything seems to be fine. I would suggest etoolbox be made a recommended or suggested dependency.
