Hello, I'm currently looking at this.
As explained, if the .service is being renamed, we need to stop the service before it get renamed on disk. I see 2 options here: 1) Call invoke-rc.d libvirt-bin stop in a preinst script 2) Kill libvirtd daemon based on the pid in the .pid file in the postinst script (we could either use kill or start-stop-daemon) Both will only happen once and only if the user is running systemd already. With 1) the downtime of the daemon might be a bit longer than with 2) What's your preference here?
