Same here. I ran into this issue many times, too.

I agree here with Daniel that removing the reportbug feature does not
fix broken cursor handling after resume. Looks to me as if one or more
initial characters of the escape sequence generated by cursor down is
dropped and the just the capital B is passed to aptitude's TUI --
which should be fixed independenly of #463510.
What I meant is that the decision on whether to remove the "feature"
of running reportbug affected the resolution of the other one.
So I am going to remove reportbug and close that bug report, and then
investigate the other one.
I think that I saw more bug reports complaining about weirdness after
suspending. It's possible even that the issue is with cwidget.
