Package: git-email
Version: 1:1.8.5.2-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear maintainer,

It looks like --compose and --cover-letter options have the similar goal
of adding another email along with the patches email.

However, the behavior of --compose is a bit inconsistent with the rest
of the command. For instance, when editing, it will display as "From:"
header the value of --from while the files generated by format-patch
will receive the right header after the editor is closed.

That would allow to let --subject work for the cover letter. And I guess
that if someone really want a superfluous email, he can add a file when
invoking send-email.

Best regards,
Celelibi
