Ah yes, msg #48 explains it.  Thanks.  Sounds like you have a good handle on 
the problem.

Just a quick note, I read #726165 prior to the protobuf 2.5.0-5 transition 
into unstable and had tested building the mumble package with it for amd64 
using cowbuilder, but not for any other architectures.
