Package: ipython Version: 1.1.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? I just wanted to paste, from the clipboard to the ipython command line, any line(s) from an external python script. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I highlited the line from the external script, thus copying it to the clipboard, and then clicked the window running ipython, and, in its prompt, typed the magic paste command, pressing Enter * What was the outcome of this action? There was an UboundLocalError, expanded on the link: http://mail.scipy.org/pipermail/ipython-dev/2014-January/012939.html * What outcome did you expect instead? I expected the command to be seamlessly run under ipython, as always before. As explained in the above link, in the ensuing thread, I think I have been able to fix it by just suppressing a line in the /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/IPython/lib/clipboard.py file. I guess this might help fixing definitively the bug. At least now things seem to be working fine for me and I can use paste without any hassle, as always (up unitl now at least)...
