It feels like it might possibly have to do with the new bracketed paste mode auto-detection in mc: http://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/2661 I think that in practice Egmont can be considered upstream for both this patch and vte, so, if you manage to confirm that it's indeed the source of the problem, I guess that the most constructive course of action would be to file a bug upstream and CC: egmont / pfalcon so that they can have a look. -- Sincerely yours, Yury V.
