Hi Jose, Would you like a helping hand with maintenance of gloox in Debian? I've noticed that #729074 has been open for roughly 2 months now, and it seems like you haven't had any time to reply to it, nor to any of the other currently open (and older) bugs against src:gloox in the BTS. If you're busy at the moment, I'd be glad to help prepare a new upstream release and address some of the open bugs in the BTS as well, as one of my packages (0ad) depends on this library.
(MIA team: the last upload Jose made for gloox was back in 2010-01-22; there's been a NMU and 10 new upstream releases since then. It also looks like there's been a few MIA queries for Jose in the past, e.g. [1][2]; I'm not sure if this justifies cc-ing the MIA team off the bat though.)
