Since this problem apparently have nothing to do with Debian I'd love
to see that kind of bugs reported directly to upstream bug tracker:

We need upstream to review your patch and reporting directly to them
will save some time for forwarding this information.
Could you please confirm if bug affects latest Zabbix from "unstable"?
