I am happy to help test in a Debian Jessie environment, if that helps. I use KDE with kontact for PIM, and do not use Evolution. If this is built from Patrick's latest versions, I could even test with ActiveSync -- particularly if you felt like packaging activesyncd as well :-) Unfortunately, I cannot help with Ubuntu.
