Thanks a lot for your lvm2 builds and bug report. It reduced the time to fix the problem here to an hour instead of hours/days.
I am really shocked about the uncooperative way of handling the problem by the lvm2 maintainers. Is there anything what I can do to assist by resolving the problem in Debian? Because I don't see why other people have to hit the same wall when they want to develop/test open source software. Especially because there is a known fix and the lvm2 maintainers never explained why this fix is technically wrong.
