Both are bad when there's a packaged version. :-)

Good :)

So you either had a broken or incompatible version (zotero needed
various updates in the past)... That means build fixes, broken API etc
(thus LO has a conflict against older versions) etc.

Indeed. But broken extensions (or those not adapted to current versions)
are not in LOs scope.

Downgrading to minor. Not tagging wontfix as it will give a bad signal, but
that will be basically it, unfortunately.
