Package: policykit-1 Version: 0.105-4 Severity: normal Root's password: 1234abcd
When issuing: pkexec /usr/sbin/synaptic A dialog box is presented asking for root's password. When capslock key is ON, a small warning is presented but despite password is typed in uppercase (e.g., 1234ABCD), access is granted thus making pkexec case- insenstive. "gksu /usr/sbin/synaptic" works as expected. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.10-3-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_ES.utf8, LC_CTYPE=es_ES.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages policykit-1 depends on: ii consolekit 0.4.6-3+b1 ii dbus 1.6.18-1 ii libc6 2.17-93 ii libexpat1 2.1.0-4 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.4-1 ii libpam0g 1.1.3-9 ii libpolkit-agent-1-0 0.105-4 ii libpolkit-backend-1-0 0.105-4 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-4 policykit-1 recommends no packages. policykit-1 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
