Package: extlinux Version: 3:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I just tried to update current stable to testing, and installation failed with "unknown device". I know I had the problem before, but now I take the time to ask about the proper solution. Looking in the postinst I see: df -P /boot/extlinux/ | tail -1 | awk '{ print $1 }' | sed -e 's|[0-9]||g this command give as output: /dev/disk/by-uuid/acc-c-b-bf-ddde Reading this, I can understand why extlinux refuses to install on that dev, without the sed I get: /dev/disk/by-uuid/a7c7c314-c430-44b9-9bf6-4dd6254d681e So maybe a check if or something is missing. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages extlinux depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.52 ii libc6 2.17-93 Versions of packages extlinux recommends: ii os-prober 1.63 ii syslinux-common 3:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u3 pn syslinux-themes-debian <none> extlinux suggests no packages. -- debconf information: * extlinux/install: true -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
