I have the same problem. The difference is, that clementine freezes also if it's not playing. It's odd but, when I opened clementine via gdb it does the search but takes very long (approx. 30s). Due to clementine was not crashing while running gdb I can't provide you a backtrace. Maybe you could solve this bug when packaging the current release.
