Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
Starting tor
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
install tor package.
* What was the outcome of this action?
tor is started, but nowwhere does it say what the default
exit-policy is. i.e.: it could be that, just by installing this
package, your computer becomes a tor exit-node, which could expose you
to certain risks.
/etc/torrc, from what i can see, only mentions that it uses
the default policies, but I couldnt find twhat that policy is
anywhere?
If the default policy actually is to be a potential exit node,
then I would think that users should at the very least be warned, or
even better prompted about this.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
clearer documentation and/or a prompt during the install procedure.
