note that the downloads page:

does not include a recommendation for a version for thunderbird 24; i
believe the recommendation is to run from enigmail trunk until an
official release is made (since there isn't an official release of
thunderbird 24 yet either.

Please don't let an enigmail incompatibility prevent you from shipping
icedove 24~beta-whatever in experimental.  we'll try to get enigmail
1.5.2 built for icedove 17 in the meantime.
