Package: gnome-panel Version: 3.4.2.1-4 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? I use gnome 3.4 in safe graphics mode. I clicked on the clock applet a lot of times to check some dates. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? After a while the applet did not open any more. I tried clicking a few times but without effect. * What was the outcome of this action? A few minutes after the clicking, gnome suddenly crashed. I use up-to-date debian wheezy, dmesg stated the following: (It might be related to ACPI or sleep but I am not sure) [83934.036328] usb 2-1.1: Product: TTL232R-3V3 [83934.036335] usb 2-1.1: Manufacturer: FTDI [83934.036341] usb 2-1.1: SerialNumber: FTFAF0V8 [83934.038647] ftdi_sio 2-1.1:1.0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter detected [83934.038726] usb 2-1.1: Detected FT232RL [83934.038732] usb 2-1.1: Number of endpoints 2 [83934.038740] usb 2-1.1: Endpoint 1 MaxPacketSize 64 [83934.038747] usb 2-1.1: Endpoint 2 MaxPacketSize 64 [83934.038753] usb 2-1.1: Setting MaxPacketSize 64 [83934.039202] usb 2-1.1: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0 [83938.344804] usb 2-1.1: USB disconnect, device number 22 [83938.345120] ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0 [83938.345154] ftdi_sio 2-1.1:1.0: device disconnected [83950.190489] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done.
