Package: sslscan Version: 1.8.2-2 Severity: normal Tags: ipv6 Most of my local services only listen on ::1 as this is enough for all client applications I use regularly, but sslscan seems to live in a time before 1998.
$ sslscan --starttls [::1]:25 ERROR: Could not resolve hostname [. $ sslscan ::1 ERROR: Could not resolve hostname . $ sslscan --starttls localhost:25 Testing SSL server localhost on port 25 Supported Server Cipher(s): ERROR: Could not open a connection to host localhost on port 25. (Banners removed for brevity) It seems like it splits the target string at the first colon and even fails on hosts with only AAAA records or non-working IPv4 but working IPv6. Greetings Timo
