Hi,
acpica-unix fails to build on GNU/kFreeBSD because kfreebsd-i386 is not
listed in Architecture: . It also need a small fix to build.
Please find attached a patch to fix that. It would be nice if you can
include it in your next upload.
Thanks a lot! I'll forward your patch upstream too. Out of curiosity, is
the __FreeBSD_kernel__ thing a Debian specific define or generic?
AFAIK iasl should build on freebsd already.
__FreeBSD_kernel__ has been defined when the GNU/kFreeBSD port has been
started. It is different from __FreeBSD__ in the sense that it does not
imply a FreeBSD userland. It is not anymore specific to Debian, as it is
also used in Gentoo/FreeBSD, and as it is now merged in upstream gcc.
One more note, would it make sense to build acpidump for GNU/kfreebsd
also? as I see the same patch could apply almost unchanged to that
package :) (it too includes acenv.h)
I have just looked at it, it make the package buildable, but it doesn't
work as it uses Linux specific ways (ie /sys and /dev/mem) to access the
acpi tables. I'll look if I can write a patch, but later as there is
some packages with higher priority.
Bye,
Aurelien
