Karsten Malcher openend up a new bug for the same problem [1]. He was able to fix that issue, The reason was of because a locale misconfigured sound system. So I will say there is no bug or problem with Icedove itself, what about your problems? Any issus around or work your current Icedove versions? Mayby Karsten can more explain what he had to be done if you have some problems yet.
