Hi Toni, Thank you for the bug report. It seems like there is something going on with Java GUI/graphics applications for multiple users. I am able to install visualvm into a clean sid chroot (amd64) with java-6 (default-jdk) or java-7 and both start up without any problems, accept the license and continue. Perhaps the issue is with the window manager or X configuration? (I don't have a strong theory; just trying to figure out why it works for some but not others.) Cheers, tony P.S. The only thing that seemed odd to me when I tested is that I had to specify the JDK on the command-line - e.g.: $ /usr/bin/jvisualvm --jdkhome /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk-amd64
