The latest version of zeitgeist provides the new zeitgeist2 library. The package also bundles zeitgeist-datahub which obsoletes that being a separate source package. libzeitgeist is already in Debian as a separate package so packages that haven't been ported to libzeitgiest2 can still build in Debian and it means that uploading the latest zeitgeist won't force a transition. zeitgeist 0.9.14 is required for the latest stable releases of gedit and gedit-plugins to work without regressions. The update has already been packaged in Ubuntu so I encourage you to use the Ubuntu packaging.
