For the first time in a few years, I tried to use wine this weekend. Unfortunately, I had some difficulty with sarge's version. More specifically, I couldn't get some applications to install themselves with sarge's version (e.g., WinZip). Then, I discovered that the Wine project had a more recent debianized package and I tried installing that. Everything worked fine with it. I miss, though, the fragmentation that the original Debian packages had. Where it makes sense, it would be nice to have the packages divided. I just hope that Ove and Scott work together (and not duplicating each other's efforts) so that we can have higher quality packages faster in Debian.
