are you kidding? You have seen kde running withoutr dbus?

What's the output of
# ps aux | grep dbus-daemon | grep system

Please also post the output of the following three commands:
# getent group messagebus
# getent passwd messagebus
# ls -al /usr/lib/dbus-1.0/dbus-daemon-launch-helper

Have you checked your system with debsums?




Blabla. No change in the dbus area noting just the package produced by upower and voila it works. So the fi has to be in your package...
