Hi, the cryptroot initrd script emits a warning to stdout if evms_activate is not present on the system. Since evms is no longer in Debian, and hasn't been in Debian for years, Please consider at least removing the warning, or making the warning optional. I would vouch for removing the evms code completely. If you indicate which of the solutions would be your choice, I'll volunteer to submit a patch.
