Bug#709688: (no subject)

Seems to be a duplicate of #528047. I can not reproduce this bug with the current version of check but I can reproduce this with a squeeze chroot and the squeeze version of check (0.9.8-2) when I follow the instructions from #528047: 

1) create an empty configure.ac
2) add AM_PATH_CHECK to configure.ac
3) run aclocal
