Please install the dependencies listed in your bug report and try again. The icons MyPaint needs are found in the mypaint-data package, and version 1.1.0-3 is required for this version of MyPaint. mypaint-data-extras is optional (Suggests rather than Depends), and MyPaint should run with or without it.
