I have two installed architectures on my PC: $ dpkg --print-architecture amd64 $ dpkg --print-foreign-architectures i386 At the same time I have several packages installed of the same name but different architectures, for example: ii libxdmcp6:amd64 1:1.1.1-1 amd64 ii libxdmcp6:i386 1:1.1.1-1 i386 When I try to do a safe-upgrade I got a following message: Распаковывается пакет libaio1:amd64 (из файла ..../libaio1_0.3.109-4_amd64.deb)... Deconfiguration ... Errors occured while processing following packages) There are lots of these errors for every packet that is installed in the system with two different architectures. Upgrade process is terminated at this time leading to a broken packages system.
