Package: src:linux Version: 3.2.41-2+deb7u2~bpo60+1 Severity: important
We have experienced several GPF on ext3 with VMs running latest Debian 6.0.7 (kernel 3.2.41-2+deb7u2~bpo60+1 from Squeeze backports). VMs are running on Debian 7.0 (kernel 3.2.41-2+deb7u2) hosts under QEMU/KVM 1.4.1 (1.4.0+dfsg-2exp). Filesystem is mounted with options: noatime,nodiratime,nosuid,data=writeback,barrier=0,errors=remount-ro (but even just default options causes GPF). Virtual block device is a raw partition on physical host, libvirt domain sample: <disk type='block' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='none' io='native'/> <source dev='/dev/md3'/> <target dev='vde' bus='virtio'/> <alias name='virtio-disk4'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x08' function='0x0'/> </disk> We have experienced similar problem with Ext4, I'll submit new bug for this. I haven't found way how to replicate this bug so far. -- Package-specific info: ** Version: Linux version 3.2.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 (debian-ker...@lists.debian.org) (gcc version 4.4.5 (Debian 4.4.5-8) ) #1 SMP Debian 3.2.41-2+deb7u2~bpo60+1 ** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.2.0-0.bpo.4-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/vg0-root ro elevator=noop console=tty0 console=ttyS0,115200 quiet console=tty0 console=ttyS0,115200 ** Tainted: PDO (4225) * Proprietary module has been loaded. * Kernel has oopsed before. * Out-of-tree module has been loaded. ** Kernel log: [ 3.829818] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 60 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829833] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 61 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829847] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 62 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829862] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 63 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829877] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 64 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829892] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 65 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829907] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 66 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829921] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 67 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829936] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 68 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829951] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 69 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829967] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 70 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829981] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 71 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.829996] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 72 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.830010] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 73 for MSI/MSI-X [ 3.830025] mlx4_core 0000:00:09.0: irq 74 for MSI/MSI-X [ 5.538525] mlx4_en: Mellanox ConnectX HCA Ethernet driver v1.5.4.2 (October 2011) [ 5.546036] mlx4_ib: Mellanox ConnectX InfiniBand driver v1.0 (April 4, 2008) [ 5.690174] ib0: enabling connected mode will cause multicast packet drops [ 5.693241] ib1: enabling connected mode will cause multicast packet drops [ 5.772062] EXT3-fs: barriers not enabled [ 5.772675] kjournald starting.
