Recent versions of Iceweasel have been setting large values for maximum
window size; e.g. as claimed by xprop:
WM_NORMAL_HINTS(WM_SIZE_HINTS):
program specified minimum size: 18 by 115
program specified maximum size: 1073741824 by 1073741824
window gravity: NorthWest
sawfish does not cope with this on resize. Any attempt to resize the
window immediately sets it to 0 pixels wide or tall.
This can be worked around by manually deleting the size hint property
using
$ xprop -remove WM_NORMAL_HINTS
[click the iceweasel window]
$ sawfish-client -f restart
After doing this the window may be freely resized.
