Package: sympa Version: 6.1.11~dfsg-5 Severity: normal Hi,
I upgraded sympa on a Squeeze system (prior to upgrading the whole system under Wheezy) and it failed with the following: Paramétrage de sympa (6.1.11~dfsg-5) ... Stoping Sympa mailing list manager: sympa is already stopped. dbconfig-common: writing config to /etc/dbconfig-common/sympa.conf dbconfig-common: flushing administrative password apache2: installation seems OK ... apache2: installation seems OK ... I simply dropped the offending code from /usr/share/sympa/lib/Upgrade.pm (that is related to SQLite, while I use mysql on this host) in order to finish the upgrade, but the code could be Squeeze-friendly (or the dependences more explicit) in order to avoid such failure. The move from the now deprecated /usr/lib/cgi-bin/sympa/wwsympa.fcgi to /usr/lib/cgi-bin/sympa/wwsympa-wrapper.fcgi could have deserve an entry in NEWS too, since old configurations are likely to become unavailable with the upgrade to Wheezy, making the web interface unavailable. Please do consider adding such entry if you’re planning to make a stable-update. Regards David
