Package: barcode Version: 0.98+debian-9 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
libbarcode isn't compiled using -fPIC making it impossible to use within shared libraries (at least on 64bit systems). Adding "-fPIC" to the CFLAGS entry in Makefile.in fixes the problem and shouldn't do any harm for other use cases.
