Package: plymouth Version: 0.8.8-6 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
no text appears on the plymouth passphrase input screen (joy theme on sid). Where each glyph should appear, instead an empty rectangle is drawn. Looks like plymouth cannot find or render the font. Might be related to #704872 (pango problems). Passphrase entry proceeds as normal, the expected dots for passphrase characters are drawn as expected, and no functionality is lost, but the missing text might be confusing to users. Other versions that might be relevant (dejavu fonts were also recently updated): fonts-dejavu 2.33+svn2514-3 libpango1.0-0:amd64 1.30.0-1 Kind regards, Ben. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.8-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages plymouth depends on: ii initramfs-tools 0.112 ii libc6 2.17-1 ii multiarch-support 2.17-1 plymouth recommends no packages.
