Package: open-vm-dkms Version: 2:9.2.3-1031360-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Upgrade to Linux 3.8. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I installed the Linx kernel 3.8 and the related headers. dkms then tried to build the modules for that kernel and failed (make.log is attached). As problems w/ the compiler have been solved in this release (see #701331) I assume a kernel imcompatibility. Interestingly the build for Linux 3.2 was successful. When using the open-vm-dkms package from unstable the build fails too, but we have a different error message (make.log already gone unfortunately).
