It is of course worth noting this'll only help updates from machines running a apt version containing this feature, so would fail to help with updates from 7.0.0 or earlier. Therefore this is likely to be of most use at jessie->jessie+1.
It can still help with wheezy->jessie if it can be added during a point release, and users install/update to that release.
