Package: assaultcube-data Version: 1.1.0.4+repack1-2 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'squeeze'. It installed fine in 'squeeze', then the upgrade to 'wheezy' fails because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a Breaks+Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#s-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Preparing to replace assaultcube-data 1.0.4+repack1-1 (using .../assaultcube-data_1.1.0.4+repack1-2_all.deb) ... Unpacking replacement assaultcube-data ... dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/assaultcube-data_1.1.0.4+repack1-2_all.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/share/man/man6/assaultcube-server.6.gz', which is also in package assaultcube 1.0.4repack1-3 configured to not write apport reports dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe) Preparing to replace assaultcube 1.0.4repack1-3 (using .../assaultcube_1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement assaultcube ... Adding Breaks: assaultcube (<< 1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1) Replaces: assaultcube (<< 1.1.0.4+dfsg2-1) should fix this issue. cheers, Andreas
