ulatencyd uses consolekit without requiring it; I see that it isn't fatal for it not to exist, but it would be nice to have a relationship (ideally Depends, at least Recommends) there to express this usage. The background is that in Ubuntu we're moving to logind for session/seat tracking instead of consolekit, and so software that requires it will need to pull it in. Debian will likely be doing this soon, at least for GNOME. Regarding porting, I don't know if it would be possible to use logind for everything in ulatencyd, given its use of cgroups.
