Package: telepathy-idle Version: 0.1.15-1 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hi there,
since #706094 is closed, I cannot connect anymore to a private IRC server that uses a self-signed SSL certificate. In my opinion it's a bit too strict to not allow any connection at all to such servers. It would be nice to warn the user about bad SSL certificates, but still give her/him a chance to connect to the server. E.g. a window with a warning that the server should not be trusted and two buttons: "cancel connection" and maybe "Continue, I know what I'm doing". Additionally a checkbox "Remember my decision" would make me completely happy :) Cheers - Fuddl --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 Debian Release: 7.0 500 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ==================================-+-============ libc6 (>= 2.4) | 2.13-38 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.6.8-1 libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.88) | 0.100.2-1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.31.8) | 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 libssl1.0.0 (>= 1.0.0) | 1.0.1e-2 libtelepathy-glib0 (>= 0.15.9) | 0.18.2-2 Package's Recommends field is empty.
