I'm flagging this bug as not being a blocker for the release on the basis that it only affects debian-edu systems and can thus be fixed via the -edu archive in the meantime if required (I realise this isn't ideal, but it seems the best solution at this point); I'm also not sure how likely it is that people will remove d-e-c on such systems.
